Siesta Motel

Jen and everyone we encountered at the siesta motel were great! Super happy pleasant and responsive! There's a cute little courtyard area with a picnic table and BBQ. Lots of iguana, little curly tail, gecko lizards. Hermit crabs!!! And wild chickens in the lot There was a dunkin donuts across the street. Super appealing to us since a coffee should be 24oz and not 8 like a Keurig or standard hotel coffee size. 😍😍 Showers were RAVED about our entire group. Great water pressure and almost just a mist at the same time. A/C worked overtime. Lol. Full-sized fridge and a microwave in room. Tons of food options nearby, and a Walgreens 2 mins one way, Publix 2 mins the other direction.

Stayed there for one night in December. Clean room, very nice staff, no problems with late check-in, large comfortable beds. Good location, an hour by car from Key West. Very good value for money in this area.

This place does not deserve all the complaints it gets. It's very clean, cozy, and homey. It's quiet from what I'm used to, and Marathon is so laid back but with enough to do this place is perfectly nestled. The staff treated me like an old friend returning (and I ABSOLUTLEY plan to do so) and where very attentive to anything I needed. Frank the owner made some suggestions for activities that proved to be so fun! The room in which I stayed had a large fridge and freezer as well as a microwave. So storing groceries or your fresh catch was a very easy option. There is access to a pool you just have to ask where it is since it's not on site. The property is also smack dab in the middle of several state parks, nature preserves, the Turtle Hospital, historical places, and 7 mile bridge. Key West is about an hour away so a nice day trip then back for a quiet night. There are several fishing charters within 3 miles, this place is really a primo location! It's also central to some of the best resturaunts in the Keys! It is a small place with about 8 rooms, so they can be pretty busy. I for sure can truly say I found a little home away from home at the Siesta Motel in Maraton Florida!

The staff was friendly the room was clean the shower was great the bathroom fixtures were new and unlike most other high priced Ripoff hotels in The Keys the price was reasonable

The Siesta is a small motel, locally owned and operated. It is not new, but is kept in very good condition and the rooms and the entire property are clean and well maintained. I chose this motel room as a 'best price' choice, and I found everything to be to my satisfaction. The staff was very helpful and I enjoyed my 1 night stay.
